About this project

Since April 2022, I have been working closely with KiwiRail to help them produce a series of stories about the new Interislander ferry service.

A big focus for all parties involved is the collaborative work between agency and Mana Whenua.

This story focusses on the narrative of the name gifted to the project which embarks on this once in a generation opportunity to connect the north and south islands of New Zealand. That name is Te Au o Rehutai.

I love working on stories like these. Stories about partnership, honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and promoting the voice of Māori.
